Why schools need a new approach to work experience

The reality for schools

Schools want every student to access meaningful work experience but time, contacts and capacity make it difficult to organise at scale. Traditional placements rely on goodwill, proximity, or students finding opportunities themselves.

The impact on students

Without structured, high-quality experiences, young people make big post-16 and post-18 decisions with little real exposure to the world of work. Those without networks are most likely to miss out.

Why it needs to change

Students need real insight, real skills and real environments to make confident decisions about their futures. Schools need solutions that are scalable, inclusive and easy to deliver.

What is an Intrainship?

A structured one or two-week work experience delivered with real employers. Students complete real projects, develop essential skills, and gain insights into future careers — all supported by our trained team.
